Saturday January 19, 2019:
Welcome to the first space post in the newly space blog section of TeBe Photographs! We began our journey into the cosmos with an eclipse from Earth. Above, a partial solar eclipse taken from Lowell, MA on August 21, 2017. At peak, the sun was 65% covered. The path of totality (full blockage of sun) passed through the continental United States from Oregon to South Carolina. Next total eclipse for the US will take place on April 8, 2024 with the path of totality passing from Texas to Maine. At that time, Lowell area would experience a peak coverage of the sun at about 90%. The next world total solar eclipse occurs on July 2, 2019 (this summer) over the southern Pacific Ocean to Chile and Argentina. (As a reminder, a total lunar eclipse will happen this Sunday night January 20th for the ones that can view it. Unfortunately, New England is hosting a winter storm. Peak occurs past midnight eastern standard time Monday January 21st. Next viewable total lunar eclipse is on May 16, 2022.)

Now the time has come to began implementing the expansion to the cosmos on TeBe Photographs. Imagining, exploring, and capturing moments does not just apply on Earth, but also in space, light seconds to light years away. In space, everything dates from somewhere in the past, a moment in time. Venturing into the universe will involve the moon, sun, planets, stars, nebulae, galaxies, and beyond. Now, this space blog section is established. An eventual page section on the site will be created dedicated to space in the months ahead. Come with TeBe Photographs and uncover the great unknown!
Inspire to imagine, explore, and capture the moment (space edition).
