Monday November 19, 2018:
Setting on the sea of clouds from 2,380 m (7,808 ft) at Teide Observatory in Tenerife, the largest of the seven Canary Islands. At this elevation of fresh air and about 25% less oxygen, you get to be above these clouds. This is one of the many beauties of nature where one witnesses the movement of the clouds as they were the sea. There is only few places around the world to experience such an impressive phenomenon. Alongside with Tenerife, you will have to go Hawaii and Chile at their observatories to get a spectacular view like this.
Note: To the left of the sun is the island of La Palma, home to the GTC telescope (Gran Telescopio Canarias).
Inspire to imagine, explore, and capture the moment.
